Print documents as images
The app includes a Print documents as images option in Settings for handling documents that lose formatting when printed normally.
When this option is enabled, the app converts printed documents into image-based PDFs, preserving exactly how they appear on screen. This is useful for documents from tax software or other applications that look misaligned, partially cut off, or incorrectly formatted in standard PDF output.
Tip
Leave this option off for normal printing. Only enable it when you encounter specific formatting issues with particular documents or applications. To enable this option:
- Click Settings in the app’s main menu.
- Enable the Print documents as images toggle.
Trade-offs:
- Larger file sizes
- Text is not selectable or searchable
- Form fields become non-editable
- Image-based rather than text-based PDF
