TaxDome AI is not suggesting names for documents uploaded by clients
If TaxDome AI naming isn’t applying and documents are being uploaded to the portal with the names given to them by clients, please check the following:
1. "Rename documents" toggle is on. Go to Settings > Firm settings to ensure the Rename documents toggle is enabled in the TaxDome AI section.
2. The uploaded file is a U.S. tax form, passport, or driver's license. At this stage, TaxDome AI naming is limited to recognizing and renaming files such as U.S. tax forms, passports, and driver’s licenses. If the uploaded document does not fall into these categories, TaxDome AI will not rename and tag it. We will support more file types in future releases. Let us know which file types you would like supported.
If all of the above are checked but don't help, contact our support so we can troubleshoot.
TaxDome AI is not setting tags for documents uploaded by clients
1. "Assign tags" toggle is off. Go to Settings > Firm settings to enable the Assign tags toggle in the TaxDome AI section.
2. The uploaded file type is not supported. At this stage, TaxDome AI tagging is limited to recognizing and assigning tags to files such as U.S. tax forms, passports, and driver’s licenses. If the uploaded document does not fall into these categories, TaxDome AI will not tag the documents. We will support more file types in future releases. Let us know which file types you would like supported.
3. TaxDome AI tags are deactivated. All supported tags were automatically added to your workspace. However, you may accidentally delete them. When TaxDome AI tags are deleted, they are marked "Deactivated." Go to the TaxDome AI section, check Deactivated tags, and click on the tag to restore it.
If all of the above are checked but don't help, contact our support so we can troubleshoot.
