Docs (Basic): Client Done Uploading Notification
By default, team members with access to an account receive notifications every time the client uploads a new document.
You may not want to receive a notification every single time the client uploads a doc but rather get only one notification once they’ve uploaded everything. You can change settings so that the client can easily let you know when they’re done uploading. Here, we show you the two different ways to do this.
Covered here:
- Add a Done Uploading Button on the Client Portal
- Add a Done Uploading Checkbox in the Client Upload Window
Add a “Done Uploading” Button on the Client Portal
To create a Done Uploading button on the client portal and make sure you’re notified only once the client uploads all requested files:
1. Go to Settings, then open your Firm Settings tab. In the Client Portal Settings box, toggle on "Done uploading" button in interface.
Add a “Done Uploading” Checkbox in the Client Upload Window
Toggle on “Done Uploading” checkbox in document upload menu so clients can select a checkbox in the upload window to notify you when they are uploading their last requested document:
1. Go to Settings, then open the Firm Settings tab. In the Client Portal Settings box, toggle on "Done uploading" checkbox in document uploading menu.
This enables the I'm completely done uploading checkbox in the client’s document uploading window.
3. Send a message to your client asking them to select this checkbox when all your requested documents are uploaded.
4. When the client selects this checkbox when they upload, all team members with access to the account receive a notification in their Inbox+.
