Proposals (Basic): View History/Audit Trail

You can always see the events that have taken place with a proposal. TaxDome’s audit log is sorted chronologically by the most recent event and allows you to find out when someone...

  • ...created a proposal.
  • ...viewed a proposal.
  • ...signed a proposal.
  • ...resent a proposal.
  • ...made changes to proposal.

To view a proposal’s history, go to the Proposals & ELs page either from the left menu bar, or inside the client’s account, click on the three-dots to the far right of a proposal, then click Audit Trail.

Here, find the definitions for what appears in the Audit Trail window:

  • ACCOUNT NAME: the first and last name of the account user or the name of their business.

  • USER: the first and last name and email address of the user who has accessed the proposal.

  • EVENT: what has taken place with the proposal.

  • SERVER TIME: when the event took place on TaxDome in UTC.

  • CLIENT TIME: when the event took place in the user’s location in UTC. The difference between UTC and the user’s location time is also displayed.

  • IP ADDRESS: the IP address of the user who made changes.

  • BROWSER: the browser used when the event took place.

  • OS: the user‘s operating system.

Tip! You can also access the audit trail attached to a proposal by printing it or downloading it as a PDF.
