Hide invoices from clients
Table of Contents
Use the Hide invoices from clients feature to disable TaxDome’s invoice management and QuickBooks integration. Your firm’s portal is not affected.
Hide invoices
To hide invoices from clients, go to Settings > Billing > General, turn on the Hide invoices from clients toggle, confirm the action and click Save.
Note
If your firm has proposals with unpaid deposits, you won’t be able to enable the toggle until those deposits are settled.
You can switch back to the TaxDome billing management system anytime by turning off the Hide invoices from clients toggle.
What changes when invoices are hidden
When Hide invoices from clients is on, clients can’t see past payments or future invoices in their portal and can’t pay invoices or deposits through it. You also won’t be able to choose the payment provider and/or payment method.
The Lock documents to invoice setting remains available — invoice payments can still be made via a direct link, and you can also pay an invoice on behalf of a client .
Note
Generally, our clients pay their invoices directly on TaxDome. Thus, they don’t use QuickBooks to bill clients. At TaxDome, we offer QuickBooks integration . When a firm uses it, invoices and payments are automatically sent to QuickBooks, and your clients receive an email notification for new invoices. Was this article helpful?
