This article lists the fields and sections on the Info page of the client account profile : account info, account roles, contacts , and other account settings.

Account info section

The Account info section covers the account’s information, address, custom fields, and history of changes.

Field Description
a. Account information
  • Account name : Accounts are the entities you work for and bill. They could be set up manually or generated automatically.
  • Account ID : The short code shown under the account’s name (e.g., AS1), automatically generated so you can tell apart clients with similar or identical names.
  • Account profile photo: The photo uploaded to the profile by the client or the firm.
  • Account type : There are three account types on TaxDome—Individual, Company and Other. If your client is a firm, select Company. If it’s a person or a family, you can select Individual.
  • Log in as client : Opens a read-only view of the client’s portal so you can see the account from their side.
b. Address

The account’s legal address:

  • Country
  • Street address
  • City
  • State/Province
  • Postal code
c. Details & custom fields

A collapsible section grouping:

Note

A client’s personal details—such as email address, phone number, and contact address—are stored within the contact profile, not the account. To change this information, click the contact’s name in the list to edit the contact .

Field Description
a. Contact’s name The names of all contacts are displayed in alphabetical order. You can Unlink the contact from the account by clicking the three-dots menu at the right of the contact name line.
b. Phone number The contact’s phone number.
c. Email A contact can have more than one linked email address; each is listed on its own line with its own settings row. The email marked Main contact is the primary one used during contact creation.
d. Contact settings

Contact settings manage the contact’s portal access, notifications, email sync and signatory settings, set individually for each email address:

  • Login : You can give portal access to each email address added to a contact. If the user has already been invited to use the client portal but hasn’t accepted the invitation, you can send it once again using the instructions below .
  • Notify : For each email address added to a contact, you can decide if they will receive notifications on system events (e.g., a new message or organizer sent). You can tweak the notification types for each email using the instructions below .
  • Email sync : For each email address added to a contact, you can decide if you want to receive emails and reply to them from TaxDome.
  • Signatory : For each email address added to a contact, you can decide if they can sign proposals & ELs and recurring invoices. By default, all contacts with login access have it.
e. Description The short info you want to add about the contact. You can Edit the description by clicking the three-dot menu at the right of the contact name line or just leave the description empty. It is valid for the current account only, so if a contact is linked to several accounts, the descriptions could be different for each account (e.g., primary contact for the family account and CEO for the business account).
f. Signer priority Click Priority at the top of the Contacts section to see the signing order for this account’s contacts, then drag to reorder if needed.
g. Create contact This option can be used to create a contact to the account.
h. Link This option allows you to link existing contacts to the account.

Unlinked emails

The Unlinked emails section lists email addresses associated with the account that aren’t yet tied to a named contact (for example, an address pending client activation). Each has the same Login, Notify, Email sync, and Signatory settings as a linked contact’s email—see Contact settings above for what each one controls.

Contact email actions

The following actions are available from the three-dots menu next to a contact’s main or additional email address:

Action Description
Notification preferences For each user for whom the Notify box is checked, you can decide which notifications they will receive by clicking this link.
Reset password Send the client a link to reset their password.
