Chat template field reference
This article describes the fields available when creating or editing a chat template.
| Field | Description |

| a. Template name | The name you’ll see when selecting the template. |
| b. Sender | The team member on whose behalf the message is sent—the name the recipient sees as the sender, regardless of who triggered it. Can be changed when applying the template. The team member must be assigned to the account or have access rights to view all accounts . |
| c. Thread assignee | The team member automatically assigned to manage this conversation thread —responsible for following up on client responses. |
| d. Subject | The subject line, which appears as the name of the communication in the recipient’s message list. |
| e. Add shortcode | Click to insert a shortcode into the subject to personalize it with dynamic data such as the recipient’s name, account name, or date. |
| f. Body | The message content. Supports formatting, emojis, links, and videos . Use shortcodes to personalize the body with dynamic data such as the recipient’s name, account name, or date. |
| g. Send reminders to clients | Toggle on to send an automatic reminder email when the client hasn’t responded within a specified time frame or hasn’t completed their tasks. |
| h. Attach a document | A file automatically included in every chat message where this template is applied. Maximum total attachment size: 20 MB. Supported file types: PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, JPEG, JPG, PNG. |
| i. Client tasks | A to-do list with checkboxes displayed to the client. Click Add subtask to add items. Tasks can be checked off by you or the client. |
