Client request template field reference
This article describes the fields available when creating or editing a client request template.
| Field | Description |

| a. Template name | The name displayed in the portal. Not visible to clients. |
| b. Message for client (Optional) | An explanation of the request using formatting, emojis, and links. Displayed in the email body when the client receives a notification about the request. Supports account and date shortcodes . |
| c. Client request name | The name displayed in the client portal and in the notification email. |
| d. Add question | Click to add a question. Use the gear icon to make the question optional and to add a hint. For details on question types, see client request questions . |
| e. Text block | A block of text with links, embedded videos, and emojis. |
| f. Reminders (Optional) | Automatic reminders sent to clients for pending requests. |
| g. Require sign-in | When disabled, clients can respond without logging in—they can access only this specific client request, with no other client data accessible. |
| h. Save / Cancel | Click Save to save the template, or Cancel to discard changes. |
