Signature template field reference
This article describes the fields available when creating or editing a signature template.
| Field | Description |

| a. Template name | The name you’ll see when selecting the template. |
| b. Choose signer | Select the signer for whom you are placing fields: Signer #1, Signer #2 (add via Edit signers > Add signer), or Firm Member for the firm representative. |
| c. Date format | The date format used across the document for all signers. Set when configuring Signer #1. |
| d. Signature fields | Click a field type to place it on the document for the selected signer: Signature (full signature), Initials, Date (displayed in the selected date format), or Text (free-text field for additional information such as an SSN). |
| e. Message for client (Optional) | A custom message displayed to the client when they receive the signature request. Supports shortcodes . |
| f. Add shortcode | Click to insert a shortcode into the message to personalize it with dynamic data such as the recipient’s name or account name. |
| g. Save & exit / Save / Cancel | Click Save & exit to save the template and return to the list, Save to save without leaving, or Cancel to discard changes. |
