Activity feed event types
This article lists all event types available in Activity feed , with details on what triggers each and what it contains.
Account
Activity feed displays:
- Exporting the account list.
- Importing accounts.
- Enabling/disabling the Login toggle for contacts.
- Sending an invitation link.
- Accepting the portal invitation by a client.
Client Chat thread
Activity feed shows when a client chat thread’s assignee is set or changed from the thread view or Inbox+ notification.
Contact
Activity feed displays exporting the contact list and importing contacts.
Email notification
Activity feed displays system email notifications sent to clients, such as:
- Reminders
- Payment confirmation
- Signature requests
- Chat notifications
Email thread
Activity feed shows when an email thread’s assignee is set or changed from the thread view or Inbox+ notification.
Firm settings
Activity feed displays anything that is being updated on the Settings > Firm settings page. The Item column shows the settings section.
Integrations
Activity feed displays connecting and disconnecting all integrations available in TaxDome (Stripe, QuickBooks, Zapier, and more).
Invoice
Activity feed displays:
- Sending an invoice either manually or via automation
- Creating a scheduled invoice
- Changing an invoice
- Changing the status of an invoice
- Applying credit to pay an invoice
- Deleting an invoice
- Resending an invoice by email or an automated reminder
- Downloading an invoice
- Printing an invoice
- Exporting an invoice. Viewing invoice by a client
Job
Activity feed displays:
- Creating a job
- Updating a job
- Moving a job
- Status changing
- Exporting the job list
- Deleting a job
Note
Because job-event tracking was introduced in 2025, jobs that existed or were last modified before then may not show older activity. Only actions performed after job-event support was released are recorded in the feed.Job recurrence

Recurring invoice
Activity feed displays:
- Sending a recurring invoice either manually or via automation (inside a proposal)
- Turning a draft into an actual recurring invoice
- Changing a recurring invoice
- Deactivating/activating a recurring invoice
- Changing the status of a recurring invoice
- Signing a recurring invoice either manually or by signing a proposal that includes it
- Deleting a recurring invoice. Viewing a recurring invoice by a client
- Replacing the payment method linked to a recurring invoice (Beta)
Report
Activity feed displays generating a payout reconciliation report .
SMS thread
Activity feed shows when an SMS thread’s assignee is set or changed from the thread view or Inbox+ notification.
Task
Activity feed displays:
- Creating tasks, including the ones created automatically by task automation or recurring ones
- Editing tasks (changing the assignee, name, description, subtasks, priority, status, start date, due date, tags)
- Deleting tasks
- Exporting the task list
Team management
Activity feed provides you with info on:
