TaxDome’s website and portal options

As a TaxDome customer, accessing your portal is simple with your unique firm portal URL, which also serves as the login page for your clients. Use the default TaxDome link, customize it with your own domain or create a website with our builder. This guide covers your options, key features, and how to set up a login page for clients and team members.

Your login link

When you become a TaxDome customer, you can access your portal via the firm portal URL (login page). The same URL is also used for your clients to log in to the client portal.

Your login page follows this format:  yourtaxdomeurl.taxdome.com. You can check the firm portal URL on the Settings > Firm settings page.

Your login link is used:

Custom domain for white-labeling

Your firm portal URL contains the .taxdome.com part by default. You can remove this part by utilizing a standalone web domain. This process, called white-labeling, creates a fully branded experience by aligning the URL with your firm's identity.

For example, if a firm's name is General Ledger, its default TaxDome portal URL, which clients and team members will see, is general-ledger.taxdome.com. After setting the custom domain, you will have a white-labeled firm portal URL: general-ledger.online

You can white-label your website address:

Even with a custom domain URL, your portal will be available by accessing the TaxDome login link.

TaxDome's website feature

Our intuitive built-in website editor allows you to create your own customized site and set it live, no programming or technical skills required. The website feature is included in the Pro and Business plans.

Here are your options:

I have a website and want to set up a client portal on it

Already have a website? You do not have to use TaxDome’s website feature then; it is an additional benefit. If you have your own website, feel free to continue using it.

If you want to set up your client portal on your website, there are two ways to do this: add a link to the TaxDome portal on your website (the easiest way) or create a subdomain to keep your URL (this is more involved).

To add a link to the TaxDome client portal:

  1. Go to your TaxDome Settings, select Firm Settings, then TaxDome Portal URL. Copy the URL (it will look like this: https://yourtaxfirm.taxdome.com).
  2. Now, create a button, link or menu item with it on your site. If you don't know how, ask your web developer to add it.

To match your brand's look and feel, you can also  customize the TaxDome login page by adding a description of your firm, logo, social media links, etc., to your login page for team members and clients.

I don’t have a website and want to create one

Use the TaxDome website builder to create a website using templates designed for the accounting industry. Its user-friendly interface lets you develop your site without any programming skills.

The key features of the website builder:

  • Simple drag-and-drop functionality for adding elements from the panel to the page.
  • 200+ built-in free templates.
  • Responsive design for mobile devices, desktops, and tablets.
  • Support for multiple languages.
  • Flexibility and full customization of all elements.
  • Third-party integrations with calendars, chats and advanced options (e.g., accordions, tables, custom code, etc.).

Once enabled, the feature provides a website draft with standard pages. You can change and select a pre-designed template from the library or customize the separate elements manually and add your content.
