Windows App: Launch & Sign In

Once you install the Windows application, you are ready to launch. Go to the Start menu, select the Start icon, then type “TaxDome” and choose it.

To work in the TaxDome Windows application, you must first sign in to your TaxDome account.

Choose your option depending on whether you sign up:

If you have enabled two-factor authentication, please review the steps in the Two-Factor Authentication section.

Signing in with Google account

1. Decide how long you’d like to stay signed in. The default setting is eight hours, but you can change the duration.

2. Click Sign in with Google. This will open the Sign in with Google page in your browser

3. Click the account you want to use for TaxDome (if you logged in to your Google account) or enter your Google email and password (if you logged out).

4. Click Continue.

That's it. If you enabled Two-Factor Authentication for TaxDome, proceed to the next step of the instructions. If not—you will see the first page of the TaxDome app.

Signing in with email and password

1. Enter your firm’s TaxDome URL you chose during registration (e.g., taxesbest.taxdome.com), email address and TaxDome password. If you’re using a custom domain, do not enter it here.

tip

Note: You won’t be able to use the TaxDome Windows application until registered on TaxDome. If you haven’t yet, go here to complete the process.

Two-factor authentication

If you enabled two-factor authentication to access your account, you must verify your identity by entering an authentication code.

1. Open Google Authenticator or the verification application you use.

2. Enter the code received on your smartphone.

3. Click VERIFY.

tip

Note: The code in Google Authenticator changes every 30 seconds, so if TaxDome rejects it, enter the new one.

If for some reason you can’t use Google Authenticator or a similar application, click on the No access to application link to contact our support team. To learn more about your options, go here.
