Tip

We recommend using the browser version or the Windows app if you need specific features, such as editing document content or bulk uploading.

View documents

If you want to view a particular client’s document, go to the Accounts screen and tap on the client whose documents you want to view. Then, open the Documents tab, navigate to the folder and open the file.

Search for documents

Tap the search icon at the top right corner to find a particular document. Type the document’s name in the search field, select Documents and open the file.

Document options

When you access documents from a mobile app, you can:

  • Edit file: Change the file name and/or description.
  • Move: Transfer the document to another folder or to another client account .
  • Duplicate: Create a copy of the document.
  • Print: Print a document. Note: The device must be paired with a printer.
  • Download: Download a document to your mobile device.
  • Delete: Delete the file from TaxDome. Note that you can’t undo the action. However, you can restore the file you accidentally deleted by accessing the Trash on the web app.

To access these features, please open the document according to the instructions above , tap the three dots in the top right corner, and select the desired item from the menu.

Folder options

The following options are available for folders in the mobile app:

  • Move: Move a subfolder to another default folder to change its access level . For example, from Client uploaded documents > Firm docs shared with clients or Private.
  • New folder: Create a new folder on the level of default folders (Client uploaded documents, Firm docs shared with clients, and Private). Open the client documents, tap New folder, type the name (e.g.,Contracts), set an access level and tap Create.
