Reporting (Basic): Getting quick reports

If you are wondering where to start with the Reporting tool, you are in the right place. In this article, we will explain how you can monitor your firm's performance, get quick AI-generated reports or search the detailed ones that you already have - all from a single page.

Covered here:

Generate quick reports

The  Overview page of Reporting gives you the possibility:

  • to build new reports by using the AI engine that understands human language (select a specific source, e.g. Time and Billing, to the left of the search field).
  • to search only among the saved and prebuilt reports (select All sources to the left of the search field).

The AI engine analyzes your query and presents you with a report accompanied by specific visualizations, such as charts or pivot tables.

Once you have selected a source, you are presented with some popular queries that are suggested automatically. You can either click on it or type in any other query in the search field (e.g. 'Average invoice amount by day of week', 'Time entry states by month').

You are presented with an AI-generated report at the top, followed by results with your previously saved reports and Dashboards.

Once you get the search result, you can:

  • Explore the AI-generated report. For details, go to the article on this topic.
  • Save the report for future use. For details, go to the article on saving reports.
  • Improve future search results by clicking thumbs up or down to let AI know if it.

Watch KPIs

You can have visualizations of your data’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on the  Overview page of Reporting. Use this feature to track the changes in important KPIs in your data, such as unpaid revenue or number of completed tasks.

tip

Tip! You can also monitor KPIs by setting up alerts.

KPIs could be added to the Overview page from any of your saved report or the Dashboard. To do so:

1. Click + to the right of your existing KPIs or click the three dots on your existing KPI and select Insert right or Insert left.

2. Select an report or Dashboard, then choose as many KPIs from it as needed and click Add KPIs.

You can manage KPIs in your watchlist the following way:

  • Drag & drop them to rearrange their position in the watchlist.
  • Click the three dots on any KPI and select:
    • Replace: Add another KPI instead of exiting one.
    • Remove: Delete the selected KPI.
    • Move right and Move left: Rearrange KPI's position in the watchlist.
    • Make first: Move the KPI to the first place on your watchlist.
