TaxDome Pricing FAQ (non-US firms)

note icon

Note

This article applies to firms located outside the US and Canada. If your firm is in the US or Canada, see TaxDome Pricing FAQ (US/CA) .

TaxDome pricing is straightforward and transparent. Find out how it works, how much it costs, and answers to common questions about managing your subscription in this FAQ.

1. How does TaxDome pricing work?

For all countries except for USA and Canada, there is one simple pricing plan . It includes all TaxDome features, free support, training sessions & more.

TaxDome uses a seat-based pricing model. One user = one seat. You purchase seats and assign them to team members as needed.

Available seat types:

  • Full-term seats: 1-year, 2-year, or 3-year billing cycles with multi-year discounts. All full-term seats share the same renewal date.
  • Monthly seats: Billed monthly from the purchase date.

The firm owner must have a full-term seat. Team members can have full-term or monthly seats.

The cost of a subscription varies according to the country where the practitioner or firm is based:

2. Can I purchase seats with different billing cycles for my team members?

You can combine full-term seats with monthly seats in your subscription. However, all seats of the same type automatically align to a single renewal date:

  • Additional full-term seats align to your existing full-term renewal date.
  • Additional monthly seats align with the renewal date of your existing monthly seats. For example, if your monthly seats renew on February 1 and you add another monthly seat on January 16, you’re charged for 15 days (the time remaining until February 1). Both monthly seats then renew together on February 1.

3. Can I transfer seats from one team member to another?

You can swap seats between team members . Both team members can immediately exchange their seat types without needing available seats.

4. How are my firm’s new users priced once I add them later?

When you add seats for new team members, they automatically align to the renewal date of existing seats of the same type. You pay a prorated amount based on the time remaining until that renewal date. For example:

  • If your renewal date is January 1 and you add a full-term seat on February 1, you’re charged for 11 months of service. All full-term seats renew together on your original renewal date.
  • If your monthly seats renew on February 1 and you add another monthly seat on January 16, you’re charged for 15 days (the time remaining until February 1). Both monthly seats then renew together on February 1.

5. Can clients access the portal after primary subscription expires?

For clients to access the portal, at least one active subscription must be maintained—specifically, the firm owner’s full-term seat.

The portal securely stores sensitive documents for both your firm and your clients, so an active subscription ensures continued access and data security.

6. Can I upgrade from a 1-year to a multi-year subscription and get the discount?

You can upgrade your billing cycle at any time. The upgrade extends your renewal date by the additional years selected, and you pay a prorated amount for the remaining time plus the cost of additional years at the discounted rate.

For example, if your renewal date is January 1, 2026 (1-year cycle) and you upgrade to a 3-year cycle, your renewal date is extended by 2 additional years and becomes January 1, 2028.

Find out more about how to upgrade your subscription.

7. Can I suspend my TaxDome subscription?

TaxDome subscriptions cannot be suspended and resumed later.

If you have seasonal team members, consider monthly seats which better fit temporary usage.

8. Can I reduce my seats or change to a shorter billing cycle?

You can schedule changes to reduce seat count or switch to a shorter billing cycle (e.g., 3-year to 1-year) at your next renewal date. Scheduled changes appear as alerts on the Plan overview page.

9. Does pricing vary depending on how big or small my firm is? Is pricing negotiable? Does TaxDome offer discounts?

As per our company policy, we do not negotiate on pricing. We don’t think that people who are good at negotiating should pay less than those who aren’t. And we don’t see any reason why a big company should pay less than a small one.

This way, you know that you’ll always pay the same as everyone else, which happens to be the fairest and lowest price we can offer you.

However, we appreciate our long-term customers. That’s why you can save on a TaxDome subscription by purchasing a 2-year or 3-year subscription.

10. Is TaxDome ever on sale?

We don’t have sales. Tiffany & Co. has been in business for 175 years without ever having had a single sale. Like the classic jewelry brand, we aim to give you a great design and quality at a solid but reasonable price. We strive to give you the very best.

11. Can I receive a discount for referring my friends?

You can get two free months for every friend you invite who decides to take their practices to TaxDome. You can also get an Amazon gift card for inviting more firms.
