How to Move Your Data From ShareFile to TaxDome

Export Client Data
To export client data from ShareFile to a CSV file:
1. Go to Settings, then to Admin Settings.
2. Select the Reporting section under the Company Account Info.
3. Click the Create Report button, select Users, click Next, select Client under User Type, then select CSV under Generate. Click Create.
4. Click on the name of the file in the list to download it. Once you have the CSV file on your desktop, you’ll be ready to import your client list to TaxDome.
Move Files
Bring any of your files from ShareFile onto TaxDome by following two easy steps:
Step 1. Map a Citrix Files Drive.
First, you need easy access to your ShareFile files via the Citrix Files application. To set up the Citrix Files Drive, follow these steps:
1. Download and install the Citrix Files app on your desktop by clicking the Apps link in your ShareFile portal, then download the app.
2. Open the Citrix Files app on your desktop, then enter your ShareFile credentials to map the Citrix Files Drive.
Step 2. Use the TaxDome Windows Application to Move Your Files.
1. Download and install the TaxDome Windows Application by navigating to Settings, then clicking the Download Windows App link inside the Download Apps section of your TaxDome portal.
2. Use the Bulk Upload feature to move your documents from your Citrix Files Drive: Click the NEW button, select Bulk Upload, then locate the parent folder on your Citrix Files Drive.
The TaxDome Windows application will select the client names automatically. However, you can change any client name. If you have folders for clients who haven’t yet been added to TaxDome, click Create New in the account list to create a TaxDome account for them. 3. Click UPLOAD FILES to add your documents to TaxDome.
Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop files and folders one by one from your Citrix Files Drive to the TaxDome Drive. Read more on how the TaxDome Drive works here.
