Jobs (Advanced): Assigning client-facing job statuses via job templates

Client-facing job statuses are hidden by default when a job is added to a pipeline. You can save time by using job templates to automatically assign a client-facing job status once the job is created.

Note that if you also set the Update client-facing job status automation for the first stage of the pipeline, the template settings will be applied, and then you will be asked if you want to apply the automation.

To automatically assign a client-facing job status via job templates, follow these steps:

1. When creating or editing a job template:

1. Toggle on the Show in client portal in the Client-facing status section to show client-facing job status.

2. Select a status to assign initially at the selected stage.

3. Edit the description if you want to tailor it to this particular pipeline. You can customize it using shortcodes.

4. Enter a job name you want your clients to see in the client portal. You can customize it using shortcodes.

2. Set the job template as default in pipeline settings.

Now, when you create a job in this pipeline, the job card will be automatically prefilled with the template data, including the client-facing status.
