Reminders reference

This article lists the configurable fields, stop conditions, and manual resend specifics for every object that supports reminders. For how reminders work conceptually, see Reminders explained .

Reminder fields

The Reminders toggle appears in the send dialog and in pipeline automation settings for every object listed below. When toggled on, it reveals two fields.

The toggle can be turned on or off at any time by editing the pending object. Click Save after making changes.

Field Description
Days until next reminder How many days after sending before the next reminder goes out. Default: 3.
Number of reminders How many reminder emails to send in total before reminders stop. Default: 1.

Stop conditions by object

Automatic reminders for an object stop when any of the conditions in the description column is met.

Object Reminders stop when
Approval

The client approves the document.
The set number of reminders has been sent.
The linked job is archived.

Chat thread

All client tasks in the thread are marked completed.
All messages are replied to (if there are no incomplete client tasks).
The chat thread is archived or deleted. If you archive a chat thread and then reopen it, reminders restart as if the message is new.
The set number of reminders has been sent.
You disabled reminders.

Client request

The client submits the request
You change the request status to Completed.
The set number of reminders has been sent.
The linked job is archived.

Invoice

The client pays the invoice in full (partial payment does not stop reminders).
The set number of reminders has been sent.
The linked job is archived.

Organizer

The client submits the organizer.
The set number of reminders has been sent.
The organizer is sealed.
The linked job is archived.

Proposal

The client signs the proposal.
The set number of reminders has been sent.
The linked job is archived.

Signature request

The client signs the document.
The set number of reminders has been sent.
The linked job is archived.

Reminders in pipeline automations

The Reminders toggle is available in these pipeline automations . In each, the toggle sits beneath the Select template field and reveals the same two fields as in the send dialog.

Attention

Disabling reminders for a pipeline automation only affects jobs entering the stage after the change. Already-triggered automations — such as organizers or invoices that have already gone out — continue using their original reminder settings.

Reminders in templates

These template types let you configure reminder defaults so every object created from the template inherits the same schedule. Configure the two fields the same way as in the send dialog .

Template type Reminder toggle name
Chat template Send reminders to clients.
Invoice template Send reminders to clients
Proposal template Reminders on the Send step.

Manual reminders

To resend a reminder manually, you can use the three-dots menu next to the item in its list view. The menu item inside differs by object.
