How to change the language and date format settings of the portal
The language in the TaxDome portal is set for each user individually, regardless of whether it's the firm owner, a team member or a client. By default, TaxDome uses info from your browser to identify your country and language. However, if you decide to change the language settings for your portal, they will override the browser settings.
Click your profile at the top right, then go to Account settings. In the International settings section, choose the desired language, and it will be instantly changed.
When you change the language in settings, it is reflected only in your personal portal:
- All notifications you receive in TaxDome will be in the language you switched to.
- The date formats in custom fields will be set up according to these settings:
- MMM-DD-YYYY, MM-DD-YYYY and MM/DD/YYYY for US firms
- DD-MM-YYYY and DD/MM/YYYY for non-US firms
Attention! The International setting option in Settings > Firm settings page has no relation to the language settings in your portal. It impacts the language of some emails. Read more on language settings for emails.
