Payment Processing Fees

All credit card payments on TaxDome are made through Stripe, a leading online payment-processing platform for Internet businesses. You’ll need to connect to Stripe to securely accept credit card payments through your TaxDome account. 

Processing payments on TaxDome is free; you only pay the standard Stripe processing fees. Fees vary depending on the country. Please find your country in the list below to learn which Stripe fees apply to you:

U.S.A.

The Stripe processing fee for credit and debit cards issued in the U.S. is 2.9 percent + $0.30 per successful card charge. The price is the same for any type of card. There’s an additional 1 percent fee for international cards. If currency conversion is necessary (i.e., the charge currency differs from your payout currency), a 1 percent conversion fee will also apply. There’s no fee for failed charges.

ACH Credit
For businesses in the U.S., a number of non-card payment methods are supported. Fees for each payment method are listed below. There are no additional gateway or hidden fees.

The Stripe processing fee is $1 per ACH credit payment. When Stripe makes an automatic ACH credit payment for an outstanding invoice, the following additional fees apply upon successful payment:

  • $7 for payments $1,000 and under.
  • $14.50 for payments between $1,001 and $100,000.
  • $24.50 for payments over $100,000.

ACH Direct Debit

The Stripe processing fee is 0.8 percent capped at $5. ACH direct debit payments above $625 cost $5. For ACH direct debit, Stripe provides tools to verify your bank account at no additional cost.

There is a $4 fee for failed ACH direct debit payments  and a $15 fee for disputed ACH direct debit payments. . 

Canada

The Stripe processing fee for credit and debit cards issued in Canada is 2.9 percent + $0.30 per successful card charge. The price is the same for any type of card. There’s an additional 0.6 percent fee for international cards. If currency conversion is necessary (i.e., the charge currency differs from your payout currency), a 2 percent conversion fee will also apply. There’s no fee for failed charges. 

Australia

The Stripe processing fee for credit and debit cards issued in Australia is 1.75 percent + $0.30 per successful card charge. The price is the same for any type of card, including American Express. The fee for international cards is 2.9 percent + $0.30 per successful card charge. There’s no fee for failed charges.

New Zealand

The Stripe processing fee for all cards is 2.9% + $0.30 per successful card charge. There’s no additional fee for international cards or failed charges.

U.K.

The Stripe processing fee for credit and debit cards issued in the U.K. and most European countries is 1.4 percent + £20 per successful card charge. The price is the same for any type of card. The fee for international cards is 2.9 percent + £20 per successful card charge. There’s no additional fee for failed charges.

Europe


The Stripe processing fees for most European countries are the same. The pricing is different only in Switzerland and Norway (see below).

The Stripe processing fee for credit and debit cards issued in most European countries is 1.4 percent + €.25 per successful card charge. The price is the same for any type of card. The fee for international cards is 2.9 percent + €.25 per successful card charge. There’s no additional fee for failed charges.


The Stripe processing fee for credit cards issued in Switzerland is 2.9 percent + Fr 0.30 per successful card charge. There’s no additional fee for international cards or failed charges.

The Stripe processing fee for credit cards issued in Norway is 2.4 percent + Kr 2 per successful card charge. The price is the same for any type of card. The fee for international cards is 2.9 percent + Kr 2 per successful card charge. There’s no additional fee for failed charges.
