Mobile App: Changing password, email, passcode, 2fa
Improve your mobile app security by turning on 2fa or biometrics or setting up a passcode. Also, change your password or email to log in to the TaxDome portal.
Covered here:
- Changing your passcode & biometric authentication settings
- Enabling 2fa
- Changing the password or email address
Changing your passcode & biometric authentication settings
Usually, you are asked to set up the passcode or biometrics login when you sign in for the first time. However, you can change these security settings anytime.
If you prefer the convenience of using your Face ID or fingerprint instead of entering a passcode while logging in, tap your name at the top, select Security settings, and then turn on Use Face ID / Biometric to login.
From here, you can also set up or change a four-digit passcode. In Security settings, tap Change passcode to do so.
Enabling 2fa
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security when accessing TaxDome. You can turn it on or off for your account right from the mobile app. Tap your profile at the top, select Security settings, then toggle on Two-factor authentication and confirm your password.
You will need to download and install one of the authentication apps, then open it and paste the secret key from the TaxDome mobile app. Once your authentication app is set up and provides auth codes, return to the TaxDome mobile app and enter a newly generated code.
That's all! Now, you'll have to enter a new code every time you log in to TaxDome, either from the mobile app or using the web portal.
Changing the password or email address
If you need to change the password or email address you use to log in to your TaxDome portal, tap your name at the top, then Edit profile. Tap either the Password or the Email field and enter your current password. Enter the password twice, then tap Save.
