Scan Docs: Troubleshooting
Welcome to our guide to troubleshooting error messages that might come up while using your scanning device.
Covered here:
No scanning device was found
If you see a “No scanning device was found” error message while configuring your scanner to use our Scan to TaxDome feature, it is most likely because the scanner doesn’t support our drivers. The scanner must be compatible with a WIA or TWAIN driver.
TWAIN, an industry standard, is usually included in the software package of a newly purchased scanner—however, not all do.
The following devices don’t support TWAIN: Fujitsu ScanSnap iX100, ScanSnap iX500, ScanSnap S1300i, ScanSnap iX1300, ScanSnap iX1400, ScanSnap iX1500, and ScanSnap iX1600.
If you’d like to use the Scan to TaxDome feature, you’ll need to install a SnapTwain third-party app first.
I can’t scan documents from both sides
TaxDome Windows Application supports duplex scanning. If you want to scan from both sides (duplex), open your scanning software, then configure the Profile Settings by selecting Duplex for Paper source.
