DATEV integration (Basic): Transfer documents to DATEV

soon

Work in progress! This feature is incomplete and currently available for Beta users.

Transferring client documents directly to DATEV is easier than ever: find out how to upload documents to DATEV right from TaxDome.

Covered here:

Before you start

  • Make sure your DATEV connection is set up. Re-authenticate if the token has expired.
  • To send documents, you will also need the client's DATEV client ID.

DATEV file requirements

DATEV supported formats
BMP, CSV, DOC, DOCX, GIF, JPEG, JPG, MSG, ODS, ODT, PDF, PKCS7, PNG, RTF, TIF, TIFF, TXT, XLS, XLSX, XML
DATEV supported file size <=20 Mb

Sending documents to DATEV

To send documents to DATEV, one at a time or in bulk, follow these steps:

1. Select the documents or folders you want to send to DATEV, then click Transfer to DATEV in the menu bar, or access Transfer to DATEVfrom the document viewer by clicking the three dots in the upper right corner of the page.

2. Enter DATEV client ID. Format: consultant_id-client_id. Once TaxDome pulls the DATEV client name by ID, check if it corresponds to the correct client. If it does, click Continue.

2. Select a document type from the drop-down and click Transfer to DATEV.

note

Note! After you enter the DATEV client ID for the first time, the next time you transfer this client's documents to DATEV, the DATEV client ID field will be pre-filled. In case you want to change it later, just get back to the first step and replace it manually.

How do I know if a transfer has been completed?

After your documents are successfully uploaded to DATEV:

  • You will see a notification in Inbox+

  • In the documents list, the Transferred to DATEV will be filled with the transfer date

  • In the single document view, the transfer date will be shown near the date when the document was uploaded to TaxDome
