Mobile App: Uploading documents & using document scanner

With the mobile app, you can send any documents to your clients easily, whether you have them saved on your device or printed. You can take photos of the documents or even use the document scanner to create PDFs from photos.

Adding documents to TaxDome

You can upload files from your device: 

  • From the Inbox screen, tap on the Upload documents button. 
  • From the Accounts, go to the client's profile, then to the Documents tab.
  • From the Chats screen, open a chat thread, then go to the Attached tab and tap Attach documents.
  • From the Workflow screen, open a task, then go to the Documents tab and tap Upload documents.

To upload a file, choose the client and the folder you need, then tap the icon at the top right and select your option.

Note! The first time you use it, the app will request access to the camera and gallery.

Taking a photo of the paper document with the document scanner

If you have a paper document, you can scan it via Document Scanner and upload it to your client account. It will be automatically saved as a multi-page PDF. Tap on the icon in the bottom left to look through all the pictures you took, rotate them or delete them before saving. 

Uploading files from your device

You can upload files from your device by selecting the File manager option when you upload documents either from the Inbox screen or from the account's profile. 

And this is how you can upload a file from the account profile. 

Uploading pictures from your gallery

If you have a photo of a document, you can upload it using the Phone gallery option.
