Terminal reader pricing and terms
Table of Contents
This article covers processing rates and fees, hardware ownership, and other terms for using a terminal reader with TaxDome Payments.
Note
These rates and terms apply to firms in the United States.Pricing
| Fee | Rate |
|---|---|
| Card processing | 2.60% + $0.30 per transaction |
| American Express | +1% on the standard rate |
| International cards | +1% on the standard rate |
Note
The payment technology fee doesn’t apply to terminal payments, and no other charge can be added on top of a terminal transaction—the client pays exactly the invoice or entered amount.Hardware ownership, returns, and warranty
Your firm owns the hardware outright—TaxDome doesn’t lease devices or retain any ownership interest once a reader is purchased and delivered.
Eligible hardware can be returned within 30 days of purchase in its original packaging with all included accessories. Stripe readers also carry a one-year limited warranty covering defective materials and workmanship, excluding cables and other accessories.
Liability and cancellation
Once a reader is delivered, your firm is responsible for its care. If it’s lost, stolen, or damaged after delivery, repair or replacement is only available if it’s still under an active warranty.
If you cancel TaxDome Payments, you keep any hardware you’ve already purchased and can continue using it independently, subject to Stripe’s own terms.
